Are you an experienced automotive professional looking for a rewarding opportunity to support and inspire the next generation of vehicle technicians?
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Automotive Technician to join our Automotive & Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a Further Education College, supporting the delivery of high-quality motor vehicle programmes in a modern workshop environment.
Working alongside lecturers and students, you will play a key role in maintaining industry-standard facilities, preparing practical learning activities and ensuring learners develop the technical skills required for successful careers within the automotive sector.
To be successful in this role you will have the following qualifications and experience
A Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, Automotive Engineering or a related discipline.
Recent experience working within the automotive industry.
Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repair procedures.
Experience using automotive diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
Strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements within a workshop environment.
Good communication and organisational skills.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to supporting learners and delivering an outstanding student experience.
