We are hiring a Prescribing Lead to join Xyla Healthcare Services' Neurodevelopmental Services team, a specialist service dedicated to delivering high-quality, accessible neurodevelopmental assessments and treatment pathways across the UK.
In this role, you will provide senior clinical leadership and professional accountability for our prescribing services, ensuring safe, effective, person-centred and evidence-based prescribing practices. You'll lead the development and governance of prescribing pathways, support complex clinical decision-making and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver outstanding care and clinical outcomes.
In this role, you will:
Provide strategic clinical leadership and oversight across prescribing services, ensuring safe and effective prescribing practices.
Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of prescribing policies, pathways, governance frameworks and clinical standards.
Act as the senior clinical escalation point for complex prescribing decisions, medicines optimisation and high-risk clinical cases.
Manage and develop a team of prescribing clinicians through supervision, performance management, competency assessments and professional development.
Build strong relationships with NHS commissioners, primary care providers, pharmacy partners and multidisciplinary teams to support service delivery and growth.
What we're looking for:
Registered Consultant Psychiatrist, General Practitioner with Extended Role, Paediatrician, or Advanced Practice Nurse/Non-Medical Prescriber qualification.
Minimum of 2 years' experience assessing and prescribing within neurodevelopmental services.
Proven experience prescribing ADHD medication and managing treatment pathways.
Previous leadership or line management experience, with the ability to lead and develop a clinical team.
