Audit Officer - Bank - London - £55,000 base salary + bonus

Your new role
- Support the delivery of audit assignments across planning, fieldwork, and reporting, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory expectations.
- Assist with investigations, special reviews, and ad-hoc audit tasks as required.
- Contribute to continuous monitoring activities, help assess the control environment, and support risk assessments feeding into the annual audit plan.
- Prepare audit work papers on time and help finalise audit reports to departmental standards.
- Validate and close management action plans.
- Provide general support to the audit department on additional relevant tasks. What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACA, ACCA or CIA preferred.
- Experience in Internal Audit, assurance, or risk/control roles within Financial Services-ideally Banking.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality outputs within set deadlines.
- Understanding of Retail and Corporate Banking products, risks, and controls.
- Data analytics capability is an advantage. What you'll get in return
