Events Manager - Corporate and Institutional Banking

HSBC Global Services Limited
London

Why HSBC

If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC and fulfil your potential. Whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or simply take you in an exciting new direction, HSBC offers opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

The Opportunity

This role sits in Global Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Marketing and focuses on planning and delivering assigned global events and sponsorships across in-person, virtual and hybrid formats. It translates the global events strategy into high-quality experiences that support client engagement, brand positioning and business priorities. Working closely with global, regional and local marketing teams, business stakeholders and external agencies you’ll run delivery across the full event lifecycle from briefing and planning through to measurement and follow-up. You’ll also help strengthen the operating model through toolkits, processes, governance and reporting. Success looks like well-executed events that meet commercial objectives, deliver a consistent client journey and generate clear, actionable insights for future improvements.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of assigned strategic global events and sponsorships from briefing through to post-event evaluation
  • Shape best-in-class client journeys across invitation, registration, onsite or virtual experience and follow-up
  • Partner with business and marketing stakeholders to align events to priorities, audiences and agreed objectives
  • Coordinate agencies, suppliers and strategic partners to ensure quality delivery and value for money
  • Control event budgets and maintain accurate documentation including decision logs, action trackers, risk registers and post-event records
  • Apply event toolkits and recommend updates based on delivery experience to improve consistency and efficiency
  • Prepare materials for the Events Council, consolidate updates, track actions and escalate items requiring decisions
  • Track event performance including attendance, engagement, feedback and relevant commercial measures then turn insights into recommendations

What we're looking for

  • Bring proven experience in marketing, event management, client experience or a closely related discipline ideally within banking or financial services
  • Deliver high-quality events across multiple regions including in-person, virtual and hybrid formats
  • Apply event marketing practices across audience engagement, registration management, lead generation and measurement
  • Work within governance, risk, compliance, procurement and brand requirements and apply them to event delivery
  • Build and maintain practical toolkits, processes and frameworks that support consistent delivery
  • Manage budgets, monitor costs and negotiate with suppliers while identifying efficiencies
  • Use event management platforms, digital engagement tools and reporting or analytics solutions to interpret data and improve outcomes
  • Oversee multiple workstreams and deadlines with clear stakeholder management across global, regional and local teams

This is an opportunity to deliver event experiences that connect CIB clients to HSBC’s insights, people and priorities at a global scale. The role combines hands-on delivery alongside planning, governance and measurement. If you’ve built strong event programmes that balance creativity with rigour and stakeholder alignment we’d like to hear from you. Join the team and help set a consistently high standard for client experience across our global events portfolio.
