Role Information
The school is seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Sociology Teacher to join a successful Social Sciences Department. You will teach Sociology at KS4 and KS5.
The role involves delivering engaging lessons on sociological theory, research methods, and contemporary social issues. You will prepare students for GCSE and A Level examinations and support them in developing strong analytical and evaluative skills.
You will contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and enrichment activities such as debates, lectures, and cross-curricular projects.
Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Sociology or related subject
• Experience teaching Sociology at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge at GCSE and A Level
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and high achievement
