Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons on various aspects of Geography, ensuring they are engaging and meet the specific needs of the students
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development
- Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and enrich the curriculum
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress
- Keep up-to-date with the latest educational trends and teaching methods in order to continuously enhance your own teaching practice
Requirements
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Geography or related field
- Proven experience teaching Geography to primary/secondary students
- Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment criteria in Geography
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for teaching and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives
