Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School in Hayes

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Hayes, located in the London Borough of Hillingdon.

Key Details:

* Location: Hayes, Hillingdon
* Position: HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
* Salary: £95 – £120 per day (dependent on experience)
* Start Date: ASAP
* Type: Full-time (term-time only)

As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting the teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Working alongside passionate staff, your responsibilities will include:

* Leading pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
* Supporting pupils 1:1, in small groups, or during whole-class activities
* Helping to prepare engaging classroom resources
* Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe learning environment
* Supporting with assessment and providing regular feedback to teachers and parents
* Contributing to the overall positive ethos of the school

The ideal HLTA will have:

* Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA within a primary school
* A recognised Level 4 HLTA qualification (or equivalent)
* Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
* Confidence in leading learning activities and using initiative
* A team-player attitude with a proactive, flexible approach
