About the role
Ecclesiastical Insurance , who are proudly part of Benefact Group are looking for a Commercial Underwriter to join our London office.
As a commercial combined underwriter, you'll be handling existing business cases across all of our specialisms.

What you'll be doing
- Underwriting a renewal book across a wide array of specialisms, including charity, care, heritage, education, office and leisure
- You’ll have your own monthly renewal allocation and also deal with a select few of our large cases
- Day to day work including mid-term adjustments, client queries, reviewing surveys – all to a high standard, with clear and effective communication
- Communicating with our brokers to deliver consistently high service levels and retention of policies
- Collaborating with other members of the team, including technical referral points, and wider networking across the Benefact Group to incorporate Risk Management, Claims, Sales etc.
What you'll need to have
- Commercial combined / Property underwriting experience
- Cert CII qualified or a willingness to achieve qualifications within an agreed timescale
- Attention to detail
- Resilient, positive and pro-active with a can-do attitude
- Ability to challenge and identify opportunities for improvement
