The Work
- Lead central engineering and continuous improvement activities
- Create a more integrated and coordinated engineering function
- Balance long-term strategic priorities with immediate operational demands
- Build credibility and relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Oversee engineering strategy, infrastructure, reliability, and asset performance
- Manage capital investment and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Need
- Proven experience: Heavy industrial manufacturing, utilities, or related complex, asset-intensive environments
- Engineering qualifications: Chartered or professional
- Strong expertise: Electrical or multi-disciplinary engineering
- Proven track record: Improving reliability, asset performance, and engineering standards
- Experience with: Significant OPEX and CAPEX responsibility, matrix organisations, and multiple stakeholder groups
Desirable
- Experience in Cornwall or similar rural environments
- Knowledge of the specific industry sector
