True DevOps Engineer – Quant Trading

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a True DevOps Engineer join our high profile client.

A $10billion strong Hedge fund with performance figures of 23%. They trade several products across equity and commodities in both high and low frequency strategies. They have the reputation as one of the best funds globally. They use a combination of proprietary data, superior technology, and aggressive execution to achieve their trading objectives.

We are seeking a creative and driven technologist with strong technical and programming skills, proven problem solving ability and excellent communication skills. As an infrastructure developer at you will work closely with other technologists, researchers and portfolio managers to create systems and tools that can be leveraged across the breadth of the company.

Here you will design and implement the core systems that support the operation of our business—build,

Job Responsibilities (include, but not limited to the following)

• Improving, monitoring and supporting our software infrastructure
• Developing software systems in Golang (and Java or Scala if you have a background)
• Testing and deployment pipelines, software and productivity tools, monitoring and middleware, data infrastructure.
• Integrating best-of-breed tools and technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Zookeeper, Mesos, Docker, Elasticsearch
• Assembling platforms and frameworks to automate business processes
• Collaborating with internal technology, research and portfolio management teams

Python Developers MUST have:

• A bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field
• 3-5 years of experience in software development
• Solid programming skills in Python, C++, Python or Golang
• Familiarity with existing open-source software packages and the DevOps toolchain
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
• A great support attitude (our job is to make life easier for other teams!)
• Be an analytical thinker with exceptional problem solving skills
• Able to work independently with minimal direction
