Overview:
The Senior Credit Administration Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant credit administration activities. The role involves complex credit file reviews, limit activations, mitigant setup, condition monitoring, reporting, training junior credit administration officers, and acting as a subject matter expert (SME) within the Credit Administration function.
What You Will Be Doing:
Review Credit Approval Forms (CAFs) and process limit activations in line with internal credit policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate and complete data within the Credit Management System (CMS), including correct mitigant setup.
Support and guide the Business Units in using Credit Management System (CMS) and correcting data.
Monitor, manage, and escalate credit conditions, covenants, and excesses to ensure timely remediation.
Review credit and legal documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Prepare management information (MI) reports and perform system reconciliations.
Act as a Credit Administration SME and support stakeholders and team members.
Identify process improvements and support system and process enhancements.
Provide support across the team, including cover during absence.
Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.
Candidate Specification:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in credit administration or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of banking products, credit documentation, and loan covenants.
Good understanding of pre- and post-approval credit processes.
High attention to detail with strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently as well as within a team.
Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with credit systems is an advantage.
Degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
