Private Client Tax - Assistant Manager
Central London | Permanent | £55,000 plus benefits
An established and respected firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers is looking for a Private Client Assistant Manager to join its growing tax team. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, owner-managed businesses, directors/shareholders, non-UK resident clients, and a selection of partnerships and trusts.
What the role involves:
Preparing personal tax returns for review and ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.
Acting as a key point of contact for clients, partners, and managers.
Overseeing P11Ds, ATEDs, PSAs, and NRL returns.
Liaising with HMRC on enquiries, CGT returns, overpayment relief claims, and double tax treaty forms.
Supporting tax planning and advisory projects, identifying opportunities for clients.
Leading and mentoring junior team members.
About you:
Minimum of five years' personal tax experience in an accountancy practice.
ATT qualified; CTA preferred.
Strong experience with P11Ds, PSAs, ATEDs, and year-end planning.
Excellent client-facing, communication, and organisational skills.
Proactive, able to prioritise multiple deadlines, and experienced in Microsoft Office (Digita advantageous).
