Production Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Operational Lead : Serve as an operational lead, representing Production Operations in production meetings and acting as a key liaison with Production Management in Chiswick-based deliveries.
  • Coordination : Ensure production information, event requirements, and operational updates are clearly shared across relevant departments.
  • Production Support : Collaborate with Production Resource, MCR, London Bookings, Engineering, and other operational teams to ensure event details are accurate and aligned.
  • Planning & Delivery : Support planning and delivery of gallery positions, studio rigs, production set-ups, and associated production requirements.
  • Resource Allocation : Review resource allocation documents and systems to ensure production requirements are appropriately covered and booked correctly.
  • System Monitoring : Check bookings systems to confirm accurate resource allocation, Technical Operator bookings, and FACS testing requirements.
  • Production Monitoring : Maintain visibility during live deliveries, supporting escalation, feedback, and issue resolution.
  • Maintenance Scheduling : Coordinate studio maintenance scheduling to minimize disruption to productions and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Safety Compliance : Ensure studio maintenance, production activity, and operational deliverables meet Risk Assessment and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Space Management : Coordinate allocation, bookings, and upkeep of green rooms, make-up rooms, and production support spaces.
  • Facility Support : Support maintenance of service facilities, ensuring shared information areas remain updated with relevant policies and guidance.
  • Risk Management : Identify and flag operational or facility risks early to protect live output.
  • Production Confirmation : Assist with production confirmations, tracking call-time changes and overtime requirements as needed.
  • Budget Management : Maintain budget and cost tracking documentation accurately, recording changes and approvals.
  • Freelance Coordination : Support freelance bookings, availability confirmations, and operational updates, providing teams clear documentation and expectations.
  • Process Improvement : Assist with documentation and distribution of new workflows, system integrations, and technical facility updates.
  • Team Development : Provide structured goals and development plans for Production Operations Coordinator to support growth within the business.

Requirements

  • Experience : Demonstrated experience working in live broadcast, studio production, or production operations environments.
  • Understanding : Strong understanding of PCR, studio, and live production workflows.
  • Desirable Experience : Experience supporting live sport or fast paced multi-production environments.
  • Problem Solving : Strong problem-solving skills with confidence to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Systems Knowledge : Working knowledge of scheduling systems, production booking, and resource allocation workflows.
  • Safety Awareness : Understanding of Risk Assessments, Health & Safety requirements, and safe production practices.
  • Collaboration : Ability to work collaboratively across departments and build effective working relationships.
  • Proactive Approach : Proactive and solutions-focused approach to live production support.

Working Conditions

Location : Based in the general area .

Onsite : This role requires full onsite working hours and days.
