Photographer & Retoucher

FitFlop is on the lookout for a hands-on, detail-driven Ecommerce Photographer & Retoucher to join our in-house studio team. This role is central to delivering premium, consistent product imagery that reflects the quality and innovation of our footwear. The ideal candidate will be equally confident behind the camera and the screen – shooting, editing, and maintaining image standards across our ecommerce and creative channels.

The Responsibilities:

• Photography
  • Capture high-quality ecommerce product photography for footwear and accessories
  • Shoot supplementary content such as:
    • Portraits (for team profiles or staff)
    • Creative still life
    • Behind-the-scenes content
    • Social-first creative (e.g., reels, TikTok-style content)
    • Videos for Social
    • 360 spins
  • Ensure all imagery is aligned with brand guidelines and meets ecommerce standards
    

• Retouching
  • Retouch and colour-match ecommerce product imagery to ensure accurate representation
  • Maintain consistency across all output in terms of colour, lighting, and retouching style
  • Retouch creative and social imagery to a high standard while preserving natural aesthetics
    

• Studio Maintenance & Support
  • Maintain a clean, organised studio space at all times
  • Keep photography and lighting equipment in good condition and ensure software and equipment is up to date
  • Support in managing and monitoring product samples alongside the Studio and Photography Executives
  • Ensure samples are kept tidy, safe, and accounted for
  • Assist in preparing sets and equipment for both ecommerce and creative shoots

• Admin & Workflow
  • Use Smartsheet and internal systems to look up product codes, sample info, and track workflow
  • Flag any shoot, sample, or production issues to the Photography Team
  • Contribute to improving workflow efficiencies and studio processes
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving and evolving product photography approaches, ensuring imagery stays fresh, on-brand, on-trend and innovative
  • Maintain well-organised file structures and backups

The Person:

• A true team player, happy to roll up your sleeves and pitch in wherever needed
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong visual eye for lighting and composition
• Technically confident with DSLR or mirrorless camera systems, Capture One, Photoshop, and Lightroom
• Solid experience in colour matching, layer masking, and retouching footwear or fashion products
• Experience with short-form video capture and editing is a bonus
• Working knowledge of AI tools for retouching or image optimisation is a bonus
• Strong communication skills and able to work collaboratively with multiple departments
• Previous experience in a fast-paced ecommerce or fashion studio environment preferred

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with DAM systems and file naming conventions
• Experience working in-house/studio environment
• Experience using Smartsheet, or similar workflow tools
• Comfortable using AI-powered photo tools and open to adopting new technologies
