Lead Consumer Insight for One of the World's Most Recognised Brands

We're seeking an experienced Head of Consumer & Market Insight to join a leading global FMCG organisation on an interim basis. This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior insight professional to shape consumer strategy across high–profile beauty categories, influencing commercial decisions and driving growth through consumer–centric thinking.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will lead the delivery of actionable consumer, shopper and market insights that inform strategic decision–making across the UK & Ireland business.

The Opportunity

As Head of Consumer & Market Insight, you will:

• Lead the consumer intelligence strategy across key beauty categories
• Provide deep consumer, shopper and market understanding to support business growth
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and changing consumer behaviours
• Translate complex data into clear commercial recommendations
• Influence senior stakeholders through insight–led storytelling and evidence–based decision making
• Identify growth opportunities through strategic consumer and market analysis
• Support innovation, new product launches and category development initiatives
• Drive consumer–centricity across multiple business functions
• Ensure insights are effectively converted into business action and measurable outcomes

What We're Looking For

You'll be a highly credible insight leader with:

Essential Experience

• Significant experience in Consumer Insights, Market Insight or Consumer Intelligence roles
• Proven success applying insights within a fast–moving FMCG environment
• Strong quantitative and qualitative research expertise
• Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and leadership teams
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret multiple data sources
• Strong presentation and storytelling capabilities
• Experience delivering complex projects within tight timelines
• A proactive, solution–focused approach with excellent relationship–building skills

Ideal Background

• FMCG, Beauty, Retail or Consumer Goods experience
• Category, brand or shopper insight expertise
• Experience working within matrix organisations
• Strong understanding of digital consumer behaviour and evolving shopper journeys
