Summary
- This is a 2-3 month contract position with a local authority, aimed at providing high-quality support to individuals accessing the Daylight service. The role is crucial in promoting independence, wellbeing, and inclusion among service users. It involves close collaboration with service users, their families, and professionals to deliver person-centred care and support.
Responsibilities
- Support service users in their daily activities, promoting independence and choice.
- Assist with personal care, mobility, and emotional wellbeing as required.
- Encourage and facilitate participation in community and social activities.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and reviews.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
- Respond to emergencies and challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
Essential Experience Required
- Previous experience in a support or care role, ideally within a social care setting.
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals or those with complex needs.
Essential Qualification Required
- No formal qualifications required, but NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 21 hours per week.
- Enhanced DBS & barred list check (Child & adult) is required for the role.
