Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
We are recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming Early Years nursery in Lambeth. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified childcare professional with experience supporting babies or toddlers who is looking to develop their career within a nurturing and supportive setting. The position offers flexible working arrangements of either 3 or 5 days per week, with an hourly rate of £13.00–£14.00, depending on experience. The nursery operates between 7:30am and 6:30pm, with individual working hours discussed and agreed with candidates to accommodate their availability. You will be: * Providing high-quality care and education for babies or toddlers in line with the EYFS * Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that support early learning and development * Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children feel secure and valued * Supporting children's individual routines, including feeding, sleeping and personal care where appropriate * Encouraging early communication, independence and social development through play-based learning * Acting as a key person and developing positive relationships with children and their families * Completing observations and assessments to monitor children's progress and inform future planning * Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, hygiene, health and safety and professional practice * Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality Early Years provision * Contributing positively to the day-to-day running of the Baby Room or Toddler Room The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 Childcare or Early Years qualification and have previous experience working within an Early Years or childcare setting. Experience working with babies or toddlers would be particularly beneficial. You will have a good understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development, alongside a patient, attentive and caring approach to supporting young children.
