Real Estate Lead - EMEA / APAC
Hudson River Trading’s (HRT) Real Estate team is responsible for the research, leasing, design, and fit-out of our global office spaces. The Real Estate team takes a thoughtful and proactive approach to HRT’s evolving business needs and carefully considers the cultural impacts of their work.
We are seeking a senior real estate lead with deep experience running commercial office projects end-to-end to manage real estate across our European and APAC offices. This role demands strong attention to detail, excellent project management and problem solving skills, and a willingness to take on complex challenges with curiosity. The ideal candidate brings commercial real estate, leasing strategy, and construction project experience, operates well within a consensus-driven decision-making environment, and recognizes that the outcome of their work directly shapes culture, community, and the employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead market research to identify short and long-term real estate opportunities in various markets that align with business objectives and cultural norms
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define goals, socialize ideas, and drive decisions throughout the project journey
- Develop and execute leasing strategy, including negotiation of lease terms and financial considerations
- Source and vet brokers, architects, contractors, and other vendors
- Act as lead project manager and designer, owning office fit-outs from concept through occupancy and optimizing layouts for employee productivity and experience. This includes mapping out work neighborhoods, amenity spaces, FF&E, graphic design elements, and beyond
- Manage multiple real estate and construction projects simultaneously, ensuring strong communication across all stakeholders
- Develop and maintain budgets and project plans, holding stakeholders accountable to expectations and timelines
- Oversee the permitting process and construction administration, and stay ahead of local regulatory compliance
- Ensure strong record tracking, including critical lease dates, space utilization, and performance, handling, and tracking of insurance renewals and due diligence, etc.
- Ensure real estate decisions support an integrated employee experience beginning at the site selection phase, working closely with the Workplace team as a strategic partner

Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in commercial real estate or related fields (US and Global)
- Strong technical skills (automations, messaging platforms, project management tools)
- Proven track record leading complex fit-out projects end-to-end
- Demonstrated success negotiating commercial lease terms and managing large project budgets
- Deep understanding of global commercial real estate markets, ideally within the financial industry
- Strong construction project management experience
- Experience working with senior stakeholders in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
- Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and networking systems
- Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate autonomously while driving consensus-driven decisions to resolution
