Marketing and Operations Associate
IONATE is a deep tech scale-up building the hardware and software backbone for smart grids. Our mission is to transform power systems – from grids and microgrids to renewables and data centers – unlocking the massive potential in this under-innovated sector that touches every aspect of our modern lives.
We are now looking for a hands-on Marketing and Operations Associate to enable our executive and wider teams’ focus through supporting them with everyday tasks. Your work will span across Operations, Marketing and Administrative support.
Operations – 40%
- Support our team with travel and visas, organise team activities
- Manage the purchasing of equipment and tools, lead relationship with our IT provider
- Maintain our digital infrastructure across Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Outlook etc.), including optimising our filing structure
- Ensure a safe and productive work environment adhering to policies and procedures
- Lead our annual compliance activities, including insurances and renewals
Marketing – 40%
Collateral Design
- Design and produce marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations
- Create and maintain branded templates for internal and external use (e.g., presentations, documents, and business cards, letterheads)
- Edit external materials to ensure they align with brand guidelines and maintain professional quality
Event Management
- Contribute to the overall event strategy, identifying and prioritizing key industry events.
- Manage all aspects of expo design, including vendor coordination, production, and shipping
- Support with administrative aspects of events, including insurance and utilities rentals.
Digital marketing – social media and website
- Create and manage engaging digital content, including graphics and animations
- Produce in-house multimedia content including blogs, videos, or podcasts
- Monitor and enhance website performance through SEO and analytics tracking
Exec Admin support – 20%
- Manage calendars and organise meetings as needed
Requirements
What you will need
- Experience managing admin work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
- Excellent self-organising skills: no detail slips past you and you can stay on top of many competing priorities
- Graphic Design Proficiency: Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign).
- An eye for design: skills to create and maintain consistent visual identity across all channels
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
It would be useful to have:
- Experience with business systems administration in startups
- Familiarity with health and safety processes, particularly in engineering or technical environments
- Examples of digital content work
