London

R_324478 - Senior Cyber Claims Advocate UK

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Cyber team at Marsh. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

An opportunity has arisen to join the Cyber claims team as a Senior Claims Advocate specialising in cyber claims where you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive claims service to Marsh’s cyber clients.

You will be part of the Cyber Claims Advocacy Team which is based predominantly in London. The team reports into and works closely with the Cyber placement practice. The team provides claims advocacy services on behalf of clients where assistance is required on more complex aspects of claims, including cyber incident triage, business interruption and complex claims recovery.

You will join a team of experienced market professionals. Some have experience in cyber incident response, others in claims operations; some have 12+ years in the cyber insurance market; others have significant experience at law firms. This unparalleled scope of capability gives us a competitive edge that we want you to add to.

We will count on you to:

  • Work closely with clients, overseas offices and other colleagues in providing strategic, technical and tactical claims advice, with a particular focus on complex wholesale claims.
  • Guide Marsh cyber insurance clients through complex cyber insurance claims under cyber policies and other potentially available coverages.
  • Advocate on behalf of Marsh clients with insurers.
  • Contribute to thought leadership on cyber issues.
  • Provide regular training for cyber / claims colleagues as well as other teams in Marsh.
  • Provide support to the cyber team through the feedback of claims intelligence to product development colleagues.
  • Support the business in winning and retaining clients.
  • Manage client relationships from a claims perspective.
  • Capture actionable, aggregate data for use by clients in future pre-incident planning and risk managements.
  • Work with broking, claims and advisory leadership to define the remuneration model for complex claims services.

What you need to have:

  • Proven experience of resolving complex cyber claims.
  • Significant proven claims management experience is essential.
  • Significant experience gained within a Claims team, or coverage or incident management team at a law firm, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship management skills.
  • Experience of presenting to clients and colleagues.

What makes you stand out?

  • Demonstrate technical ability, market knowledge and the personality to build relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Ability to identify revenue opportunities and secure engagements.

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
