A rewarding opportunity has arisen for an inventive DT Teacher to join a progressive and practical school in Kensington. The successful candidate will empower students to design, create, and innovate solutions to real-world problems. This role involves guiding students through the design process, fostering practical skills, and exploring modern manufacturing techniques.
The Role
The DT Teacher will:
- Deliver engaging, hands-on, and creatively driven lessons across Key Stages 3-5, encompassing resistant materials, textiles, product design, and digital manufacturing.
- Guide students through the iterative design process, from ideation to evaluation.
- Cultivate essential practical skills and safe workshop practices.
- Contribute to departmental activities, including design clubs and engineering challenges.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a qualified DT Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) who:
- Possesses a strong passion for design and technology and its practical applications.
- Is a skilled practitioner and inspiring mentor.
- Demonstrates a proven ability to nurture creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills.
