VP, Innovation and Digital Partnerships
If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC, and fulfil your potential - whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or an exciting new direction, we offer opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.
We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.
We are seeking a VP, Innovations and Digital Partnerships
The role will focus on developing a holistic view of HSBC’s engagement with Microsoft, with particular emphasis on Microsoft’s AI ecosystem, identifying priority workloads and opportunities across the Bank, and helping shape where Microsoft should engage and invest to support HSBC’s strategic technology, innovation and AI transformation objectives.
As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.
In this role, you will:
- Deep dive into Microsoft AI workloads: Build a clear, structured view of Microsoft-related AI workloads, capabilities and engagement areas across HSBC, working across business and technology teams
- Engage senior stakeholders: Conduct structured engagement with senior stakeholders across the Bank to understand priorities, demand, opportunities and areas where strategic partnership activity can support delivery
- Develop a holistic engagement view: Consolidate inputs into a coherent view of the Microsoft relationship, including current activity, future opportunities, priority themes and areas requiring coordination
- Shape AI partnership priorities: Help define where Microsoft should focus engagement, investment and support across HSBC, aligned to business value, technology priorities, commercial opportunity and responsible AI adoption
- Produce an actionable engagement plan: Deliver a practical, public-facing view of Microsoft engagement across HSBC, including priority opportunities, recommended focus areas and suggested next steps for partnership activity.
- Support executive alignment: Prepare clear summaries, briefing materials and recommendations that enable informed discussion with senior internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills:
- Strategic technology partnership experience : Experience working with large-scale technology partners, ideally including Microsoft, and translating partnership activity into business, technology, commercial and transformation outcomes.
- Microsoft AI ecosystem knowledge: Detailed working knowledge and hands-on experience of key Microsoft AI tools and capabilities, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry / Microsoft Foundry, Agent 365, Power Platform, Dataverse, Microsoft Graph, Azure OpenAI and related security, identity, governance and commercial constructs.
- Microsoft delivery and commercialisation experience: Practical understanding of how Microsoft AI capabilities are architected, deployed, governed, adopted and commercialised in large enterprise environments, gained through direct platform delivery, strategic advisory, systems integration, technology consulting or equivalent experience.
- Financial services technology awareness: Understanding of enterprise technology adoption in a regulated financial services environment, including governance, risk, security and operational considerations.
- Commercial and strategic analysis: Ability to assess opportunities, structure recommendations, identify value drivers and prioritise engagement areas based on strategic relevance and deliverability.
- Enterprise AI strategy experience: Experience shaping or contributing to AI strategy in a large enterprise is desirable, particularly where it involves responsible AI adoption, operating model design, platform strategy, workforce enablement or transformation at scale.
- Executive-level communication: Proven ability to produce concise, high-quality written materials and communicate complex technology topics clearly for senior audiences.
