A well-established secondary school in Bexley is looking to appoint an IT and Network Support Officer to assist with the smooth operation of its technology systems. The school makes extensive use of digital resources across its classrooms and administrative departments and requires a dependable individual to provide technical support to staff and pupils.
The Role
The IT and Network Support Officer will respond to technical queries, troubleshoot hardware and software issues and assist with the maintenance of school IT equipment. Duties will include supporting computers, laptops, printers and classroom technology, managing user accounts, assisting with network connectivity and escalating more complex issues when required. You will also help prepare equipment for lessons and ensure that staff have access to the technology they need.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an IT support or technical helpdesk role. A good understanding of computer hardware, software, networking and troubleshooting is desirable. You should be approachable, organised and able to explain technical issues clearly to colleagues with varying levels of IT confidence.
