The AHP team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language Therapist to join our team at an independent, specialist day school in Sutton. Our school provides high-quality education for pupils with autism and additional needs such as ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory issues, and associated behavioural difficulties. Recently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, we are committed to making a positive impact on our young people’s lives.
Role Overview:
As a Speech & Language Therapist, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team supporting educational and residential colleagues. You will provide therapeutic living and learning environments, offer individualised interventions, and engage with our young people based on clinical assessment and formulation. Your role will involve working collaboratively within our schools and children’s homes, ensuring therapeutic support permeates every aspect of the education, care, and support we offer.
Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:
You will provide consultation, workshops, training, and guidance to educational and residential teams. You will support teams around a child or young person to ensure clinically informed living and learning environments. You will engage and deliver therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs. You will be a confident, engaging, and effective model, guide, leader, and trainer.
What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:
- Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
- Proven skills and experience in engaging and delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
- Highly organised and proactive.
