Who are we?
Toyota Connected Europe wants to create a better world through connected mobility for all. We are a new company created to bring big data and a customer focus into all aspects of the mobility experience, so everyone’s experience is more personal, convenient, fun and safe. We create and enable technologies to delight and simplify the lives of everyone who use our products and empower them to think of and use our services in new ways.
You will be joining us at the beginning of Toyota Connected Europe’s journey of building our team and products. We are building teams to inspire, innovate and build technologies and products that are used by millions of people from all walks of life.
We want every member of our team to live and breathe the start-up culture of Toyota Connected Europe and feel and act like an owner every day. This is an opportunity to have an immediate impact and voice: what you create today, you will see being used tomorrow.
About the role:
We are looking for someone to join the wider people team, who will be responsible for the day-to-day optimisation of our Farringdon Office – this will include:
- Reception cover.
- Meeting room and desk management.
- Inventory and replenishment.
- Supplier management.
- Guest management (greeting, lunch, dinner).
- Gift management; TCEU celebrate their staff with Birthday, Christmas and Anniversary gifts, we would like for you to look after this.
- Provide event support.
- Office maintenance: ensuring the office is well kept, neat and tidy with the plants being maintained.
- Diary management; you will assist Senior members of our business with travel arrangements, appointment scheduling and general diary management.
- Assisting with Quarterly All-Hands meetings — mainly to ensure people meet deadlines and update their slides.
Please note , we are excited to offer training, show you our systems and processes and will help you to settle in.
What do we need you to bring?
- Japanese speaking – this role will interact with Senior stakeholders at Toyota Connected and Toyota Motors.
- Strong organisation skills and a flexible approach to achieving objectives.
- A polite and professional demeanour.
- Willingness to take on board feedback and make continuous improvements.
Another thing we'd like to mention…
There’s been a lot of research showing how marginalised groups of people may not apply for jobs unless they meet all the requirements. We also know that many great people come from wide and wonderful backgrounds with different experiences - We value people who bring unique perspectives and add new knowledge to our team!
Also, our IDEAL is to hire someone to work 25 hours per week, ideally 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with 3 of those days spent on-site in our Farringdon (EC1M) office, but we can be flexible with this – if you feel that you would be a good fit, but would perhaps prefer to work the same hours across less days, or perhaps longer hours some days than others, as long as this satisfies our core needs, we can consider this and welcome your application.
You might not feel like you “tick all the boxes” but we sincerely hope you’ll apply anyway because you could be exactly what we we're looking for! We want to build someone up!
