Rotananny
We're a hands-on family with an 8-month-old baby boy we adore spending time with. He has some allergies and tummy troubles (Dairy and Soy allergies that need to be monitored), so his care needs a steady, well-informed routine and a nanny who's genuinely comfortable managing dietary sensitivities day-to-day.
We're based just outside London but travel into the city regularly, and life here moves fast — we're looking for someone who thrives on that pace as much as we do. However, they are calm and measured within the household. Role Overview & Hours
This is a 24/4 or 5-day role, on duty from Sunday evening through to Friday morning/lunch time each week, based at our family home. Accommodation available during working hours/times. Accommodation could be available during off-duty hours, but ideally the candidate would leave during time off.
Mum and Dad both work from home some days, and we want to make the most of every gap between calls to spend time with our son — so this is not a sole-charge role. We're looking for a nanny who's genuinely happy sharing day-to-day care with us rather than taking baby elsewhere, who's based at home with us when we're around during the day, and who welcomes us stepping in whenever we're free. The candidate should be comfortable operating within a respectful parenting household leaning towards more natural resources/ Montessori style with flexibility. Key Responsibilities
1. Day-to-day care of our son tailored to his allergies and tummy troubles — following his feeding/weaning plan, watching for reactions, and keeping his routine consistent
2. Liaising with health visitor, GP, paediatrician and/or dietitian as needed, and keeping us informed of anything relevant
3. Age-appropriate stimulation and activities matched to his energy and stage of development
4. Managing his room, equipment and laundry, and keeping his things organised
5. Some general housework when Mum and Dad have him — this is a nanny role with light housekeeping duties, not a housekeeper role
6. Supporting the family's day-to-day logistics around childcare (packing for outings, keeping supplies stocked, planning ahead for the week's rota) Experience & Qualifications
• Extensive, hands-on experience with babies under one, ideally including reflux, allergies, weaning difficulties or similar tummy troubles
• Norland-trained preferred (or equivalent nanny qualification), but we'll consider outstanding experience without it. Preferably childcare-related degree-level education.
• Current paediatric first aid certificate
• Full, clean UK driving licence — you'll be driving our car
• Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide strong, checkable references
• Candidate to have proven experience in long-term 24-hour roles and/or live-in roles.
• English as a fluent language
• Right to work in the UK
• References available from at least x2 families Personal Qualities
• Optimistic and warm, with genuine energy for an active 8-month-old and for our busy household
• Logical and calm under pressure, especially around managing allergies and health routines
• Proactive — spots what needs doing before being asked
• Super organised, comfortable juggling a rota, appointments and a fast-changing weekly schedule
• A natural team player who wants to share care with hands-on parents, not take sole charge
• Discreet, trustworthy and easy to have living as part of the family Travel & Flexibility
• Happy to travel into London with baby on some days as part of the working week
• Available to join the family on holidays, in the UK and abroad, as part of the role
• Comfortable with a schedule that shifts week to week around family plans
