Escalator Engineer (Nights)

As an Escalator Engineer, you'll keep critical passenger equipment moving safely and reliably across major transport hubs in Greater London, working nights with a structured 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Expect a salary up to £85,000 including OTE, paid door to door, with no call-out rota. Enjoy exposure to high-profile projects without extensive regional travel.

Key Details

• Pay: Up to £85,000 (incl OTE) based on skills and experience level
• Hours: 19:00 – 7:00, 4 on 4 off (12-hour shifts with 45-minute unpaid break)
• Location: Greater London (including Gatwick & Stansted rail stations)

The Work

• Maintain, service and repair escalators and moving walkways in high-traffic environments
• Fault-find and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on various equipment types
• Perform risk assessments and maintain site log cards
• Deliver high standards of service, safety, and customer care

What You Need

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering
• Experience: Proven experience working on escalators and moving walkways
• Driving License: A valid UK driving license

Desirable

• Experience working on specific branded equipment (e.g. KONE, Schindler, Anlev, Otis)
