Role overview:
You will collaborate with department heads, senior leaders, and technical teams to identify opportunities and drive adoption. You will partner with HR to manage change and support smooth transitions to new ways of working. You will also work closely with the AI Products team to create communities where colleagues can share, experiment, and innovate. Alongside this, you will engage with Legal, Compliance, Data Protection, Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit to ensure AI is used safely and responsibly.
As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
• Design and deliver an AI enablement plan aligned to group objectives, showing how AI can be scaled effectively across the business
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders to secure buy in and champion AI initiatives
• Create and run workshops, training programmes, hackathons and digital content that bring AI learning to life
• Establish ethical standards and best practices for safe, responsible and compliant AI use that do not create unnecessary barriers
• Partner with the AI Products team to encourage an AI ready workplace and nurture communities of practice
• Define and track measures of adoption, business benefit and value created through AI initiatives
• Support teams through change, helping manage resistance and embedding new ways of working in partnership with HR
• Develop clear communication materials including videos, case studies and presentations that showcase AI success stories and highlight champions across the business
• Drive innovation through enablement communities, supporting idea crowdsourcing and prototyping
• Lead by example in building AI skills and knowledge, contributing to Currys’ external thought leadership on AI
You will need:
• Proven experience driving AI adoption and transformation at scale
• Strong understanding of AI concepts with the ability to explain them clearly to non-technical audiences
• Hands on experience with AI tools and cloud platforms
• A track record of designing and delivering effective technical training programmes
• Experience of change management and organisational transformation
• Excellent facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to bridge technical and business perspectives to achieve outcomes
• Retail or consumer industry experience would be an advantage
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• AI certifications beneficial
• Change management qualifications a plus
