Communications Officer - Church Urban Fund

Location : Hybrid, with a minimum of one day per week in our London office (Vauxhall)
Salary : £30,000 pro rata (£24,000 actual)
Hours : 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE)
Contract : Permanent

Church Urban Fund (CUF) is looking for a creative and experienced Communications Officer to help us reach more people with resources, stories, ideas and opportunities that inspire positive change.

About the role

As Communications Officer, you will play an important role in delivering our digital, marketing and engagement strategies. You’ll work across social media, email marketing, websites, campaigns, content, branding and media, helping to build CUF’s profile and equip people to build stronger relationships.

You’ll take responsibility for delivering paid social campaigns, coordinating our Mailchimp activity and e-newsletter, publishing website and social content, and using data to understand what’s working and improve our communications. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including the Fundraising Team.

You’ll have professional experience in communications or marketing, excellent writing and editing skills, and a good understanding of digital communications. You’ll be confident using websites, social media and email marketing platforms, and comfortable working with data and analytics.

Experience of Mailchimp, Salesforce, CMS, social media advertising and design/photo-editing software would be an advantage.

You’ll be creative, organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively in a small team. An interest in social action and community-led development is desirable, as is experience of working in a charity or interfaith environment.
