Role Overview:
JATO products serve many needs in the entire automotive sector that depend on data, insight tools and business process automation solutions variously delivered through API’s and User Interfaces. You will work for one or more business areas, will drive product deliveries or JATO activity-centred or benefits-led initiatives through its entire lifecycle including discovery, planning, implementation, launch, customer rollout and transitioning into business-as-usual support and maintenance. This is a role for someone who “leads major programs of work and gets things done” and will require extensive leadership skills to transform an idea or concept into reality in an orderly and efficient manner by building a culture of teamwork, collaboration, effective communication and accountability across all contributors and stakeholders. This role may have line management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Structure & Organise Initiatives
Define stages to transform ideas into reality efficiently.
Governance
Establish and maintain structures for controlled deployment aligned with organisational practices.
Business Case Management
Prepare, update, and gain approval for cases justifying initiatives in terms of benefits, costs, and risks.
Supplier Management
Secure external services, execute RFQs/RFPs, and monitor supplier performance.
Programme Planning & Monitoring
Design programme plans, track progress, resolve issues, and apply corrective actions.
Quality Assurance & Integrity
Ensure internal consistency and alignment with corporate and technical standards.
Budget Management
Monitor expenditure and costs against benefits throughout the programme.
Resource Deployment
Acquire and allocate internal/external resources and skills as needed.
Delivery Management
Ensure products/services meet quality, time, and budget requirements.
Stakeholder Communication
Manage communications and maintain engagement with all stakeholders.
Dependency & Interface Management
Oversee inter-project dependencies and interfaces.
Business Transition
Collaborate with change managers for smooth transition to BAU.
Issue Resolution
Initiate additional activities or interventions to address gaps or issues.
Reporting
Provide regular progress updates to sponsors and key stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years leading major programs from concept to launch across multiple time zones/sites.
Expertise in Lean Agile methodologies, especially Scrum .
Proven experience delivering technology/data solutions (SaaS, Cloud, AI, emerging tech).
Skilled in managing stakeholder expectations and priorities aligned with vision.
Strong background in customer delivery of solutions/products.
Proactive, action-oriented leader able to navigate ambiguity effectively.
Cross-functional experience (engineering, sales, marketing, research, data teams).
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments.
Excellent relationship builder; culturally sensitive and open-minded.
Proficient in project management tools (especially MS Project ).
Strong communication skills; experience working with senior leadership.
People management: direct reports, performance evaluation, feedback, hiring/training.
Maintains strict confidentiality and discretion with company information.
