Associate Director - DevOps Engineer

Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience managing large-scale Kubernetes deployments and infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, and deep familiarity with cloud-native architecture and multi-cloud strategies
- Strong background in continuous integration and deployment, with hands-on experience in designing and maintaining robust pipelines
- Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, and related container orchestration tools
- Knowledge of at least one and preferably two programming languages such as Python, Rust, C/C++/C#, with strong debugging and optimisation skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of working independently and collaboratively across teams
- Ability to mentor engineers on architecture, best practices, and quality standards, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiency
- Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant discipline is a plus
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud-native tooling. Automate deployment, configuration, scaling, and monitoring processes
- Partner with development teams to enable experimentation, functional testing, and load testing. Evaluate and integrate new tools to enhance monitoring, logging, and operational efficiency
- Architect and oversee build and deploy workflows for product development and testing
- Continuously improve CI/CD pipelines to reduce deployment time and manual effort
- Ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of infrastructure and development applications
- Participate in 24x7 operational support and on-call rotations as a senior escalation point
- Ensure infrastructure security and compliance with InfoSec and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery and implementation of tasks. Liaise with management and stakeholders as needed
- Support and guide junior engineers, contributing to onboarding, documentation, and knowledge sharing
