Head of Residential Conveyancing - Partner

An Outstanding Leadership Opportunity A highly regarded and long-established law firm is seeking an experienced property lawyer to lead its established Residential Property team. This is a strategic Partner-level appointment offering the opportunity to oversee a successful specialist practice, manage key client relationships, and play a significant role in the continued growth of one of the firm's busiest property divisions.
The successful candidate will inherit an established caseload, experienced team, and strong client base within the affordable housing and shared ownership sector.
The Role Key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing a caseload of shared ownership resales, staircasing transactions, leasehold matters, and associated residential property work.
- Managing relationships with Housing Associations, Registered Providers, developers, and other key stakeholders.
- Driving business development and identifying growth opportunities within the affordable housing sector.
- Supervising and mentoring lawyers and support staff.
- Ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and profitability across the team.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Residential Conveyancing, Development, Construction, Commercial Property, Lease Extensions & Enfranchisement, Landlord & Tenant, and Property Disputes disciplines.
- Contributing to the wider strategic direction of the property practice.
- Significant experience advising on Shared Ownership resales and staircasing matters.
- Strong knowledge of affordable housing transactions and Housing Association work.
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and business development capability.
- A proven ability to manage financial performance and service delivery.
- Exceptional communication and people management skills.
