GCSE Geography Tutor with SEN Experience

Make a Real Impact as a GCSE Geography Tutor.

Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEN needs ? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. You’ll provide personalised, 1:1 support in Geography for GCSE students. These in-person sessions in Muswell Hill offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

• This job is in-person in the Muswell Hill area
• Day(s) and Time(s): Tuesdays // 8:40am - 1pm (including a 20 minute break)
• Hour(s): 4 hours per week
• Subject and Level: GCSE Geography
• Start date: 2nd September 2025
• Contract length: Until exams June 2026
• Rate of pay: £32.50 p/h
  
  

What You'll Do

• Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level
• Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student
• Provide targeted support for students with SEN
• Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment
• Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in
• Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager
  
  

Requirements

We're looking for someone who has:

• A Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of tutoring / teaching experience
• Experience working with students with SEN
• An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The right to be self employed in the UK
