Employment Lawyer. Consultancy Firm. 5+ PQE. 12 month FTC.
Our client, a start-up consulting firm specialising in investigations, culture, sustainability, business intelligence and advisory services, is hiring an Employment Lawyer for a 12 month FTC. There is potential for the role to become a permanent position.
The team works closely with an array of very impressive clients to include law firms, corporates across a range of sectors, and significant non-for-profit organisations in providing a full range of people intelligence services.
The successful individual can expect to be involved in leading and supporting on a range of employment law advisory and investigations matters to include:
- Leading and supporting investigations relating to whistleblower complaints, misconduct issues, discrimination, grievances, microaggressions, harassment and sexual harassment. This will include advising on legal and compliance risks associated with the investigation or issues at hand, along with conducting investigations and leading witness interviews,
- Providing strategic employment law advice to clients on contentious and non-contentious issues, including confidential information, pay, employment contracts, post-employment restrictions and the exiting of employees and executives,
- Delivering training to clients on matters pertaining to HR, employee relations, employment law and protected characteristics in the workplace,
- Advising on the drafting and implementation of workplace policies, including those relating to harassment, whistleblowing, discrimination and other workplace grievances.
The company operates a hybrid working policy, with 3 days a week spent in their London office.
The successful individual will be joining a growing and ambitious company and can expect to receive a lot of exposure and responsibility.
Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate must be able to demonstrate:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales or another commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia and/or New Zealand),
- Upwards of 5 years' PQE specialising in a full range of Employment Law matters,
- Experience in handling workplace investigations,
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team,
- A keen eye for detail,
- The ability to spend 3 days a week in the London office,
- A genuine interest to be part of a fast-paced, growing and ambitious team.
