Construction Project Manager

Job Description

The ideal candidate will oversee projects from bidding to execution. You will work with senior management and act as the point of contact for clients.

We are looking for a strong construction / fitouts project manager who can also manage site / facilities maintenance and run a tight ship. Procurement and contracts management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Deal with all physical and real estate aspects of a small business with multiple retail sites
  • Keep retail clinic fitout projects on track and accelerate pace where possible
  • Focus on cost control and cost reduction
  • Manage individual delegated tasks to completion
  • Manage fitout contractors and construction crew on a daily basis, removing roadblocks
  • Manage installation/maintenance engineers, facilities service providers and cleaners
  • Coordinate equipment vendors and suppliers
  • Manage logistics, storage, shipping and receiving
  • Handy and can assemble furniture and equipment, and make quick maintenance fixes
  • Should be able to lend a hand to do occasional heavy lifting (physically moving things)

Should be comfortable with commonly used office software apps (e.g. Word, Excel, Email, WhatsApp, Physical Asset Management Software). Should be comfortable with online purchasing and e-commerce for procurement of equipment and supplies.
