Salary: £34,069 to £52,835 per Year
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

A primary school is looking for a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team from December 2026. This role would suit a teacher who enjoys supporting children through an important stage of their learning and helping pupils build confidence as they progress through KS1.

The position

As a Year 2 Teacher , you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum, helping pupils strengthen their literacy, numeracy and independent learning skills. You will track progress, adapt teaching to meet different needs and create a classroom environment where children feel encouraged to achieve.

What we’re looking for

• Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised in England.

• Experience teaching Year 2 or strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.

• Understanding of phonics, reading development and early assessment.

• Ability to support different learning needs through effective differentiation.

• A positive approach to behaviour management and safeguarding.
