We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microbiology Biomedical Scientist to join our esteemed client in London. This role involves performing microbiological and virology analyses, identifying significant pathogens, and conducting susceptibility testing to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the quality and reliability of laboratory results while maintaining compliance with NHS standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Microbiology Biomedical Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting microbiological investigations, including culture reading, pathogen identification, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing. You will collaborate with senior biomedical scientists and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient laboratory operations and high-quality patient care. Additionally, you will maintain strict adherence to health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• HCPC registration (essential).
• IBMS Specialist Diploma in Medical Microbiology or equivalent (desirable).
• Relevant degree in BMS
• Proven experience in microbiology and virology laboratory settings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
