The Jamie Oliver Cookery School is all about unleashing your inner chef. Since The Jamie Oliver Cookery School opened back in 2016, our expert teaching chefs have taught more than 100,000 participants in Jamie's relaxed, signature style. Our in-person and online classes are suitable for everyone, from complete beginners to confident cooks.

Our cafe, located next to the Cookery School, will offer a simple yet beautiful menu of salads, sandwiches and other treats. The food will be of high standard using brilliant produce.

We're looking for a Barista to join our team and be part of the best-in-class cafe and cookery school experience.

Position

You'll be responsible for hosting, serving guests, and sharing the passion for quality food and drinks. Your key duties will be espresso machine maintenance, dialing in, setting up and closing down the cafe, serving and hosting guests, following Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures, and being versed in the coffee and food offerings and cookery classes experience.

Your love of specialty coffee, fresh quality food and your passion for people will ensure every guest has an excellent experience with us. Your drive and hunger will ensure shifts are run professionally and efficiently. You'll be part of a team driven to make us the best Cafe on Oxford Street and the best Cookery School in the U.K.

Requirements



  • Our Barista's need to be a people person with a big smile and an even bigger wealth of knowledge about the specialty coffee, food menu, drinks list, and Jamie Oliver Cookery School as a whole.
  • You need to have experience in working with specialty coffee and be proficient in milk texturing.
  • You can work quickly and efficiently under pressure while maintaining sky-high standards of presentation and fantastic attention to detail.
  • You thrive under pressure and have a real passion for exceptional guest service and standards.
  • You are a team player who leads from the front and a genuine brand ambassador for the Cafe and Cookery School and all things Jamie Oliver .

  • The busiest time of our cafe and school is weekends - the role requires that you work weekend shifts.
  • Working week: You will work between 20-40 hours per week on a flexible basis
