About the School

This thriving Nursery and Primary School in Hounslow is dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all pupils. Serving a richly diverse community, the school places a strong emphasis on emotional literacy, behaviour for learning, and early intervention.

Leaders understand that behaviour is communication and are committed to supporting children through empathy, consistency, and structured routines. The school is now seeking a compassionate Behaviour Mentor to support pupils across EYFS and Key Stage 1.

The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will support children who struggle with emotional regulation, social interaction, and behaviour in school. Many pupils may have additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or SEMH needs.

You will work closely with teaching staff to provide targeted interventions, emotional support, and practical strategies to help children succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

You should demonstrate:

  • Experience supporting behaviour in early years or primary settings

  • Understanding of SEND and SEMH needs

  • A calm and consistent approach to behaviour support

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Backgrounds in childcare, psychology, youth work, education, or pastoral support are welcomed.

  • A welcoming and inclusive school culture

  • Ongoing CPD and specialist training

  • Supportive leadership and mentoring

  • Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles

  • A rewarding role making a genuine impact
