Finance Manager
Installio is looking for a proactive Finance Manager to help lead the financial operations of our fast-growing Solar and Heat Pump startup. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our finances are managed accurately, efficiently, and with strong controls, while driving financial performance and giving the leadership team the insight they need to scale.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing renewable energy business where you'll have real ownership over day-to-day finance, work closely with senior leadership, and help shape the processes and systems that support our continued growth.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance function -from transactional accounting through to month-end close and management reporting. You'll own the management accounts, cash flow, and financial controls, ensuring the numbers are accurate, timely, and clearly communicated.
Reporting to the CFO, you'll work cross-functionally with operations, commercial, and leadership teams, using data to identify improvements and drive financial rigour as Installio continues to scale.
What You'll Do
Financial Management & Reporting
Own the month-end close process and produce timely, accurate management accounts
Prepare monthly management reporting packs with insightful commentary for the leadership team
Manage cash flow forecasting, treasury, and working capital
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis against plan
Help develop KPIs and reporting around revenue, margin, and unit economics
Transactional Finance & Controls
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control
Manage subcontractor and installer payments, retentions, and invoicing processes
Maintain a strong control environment with robust reconciliations and processes
Own payroll inputs, expenses, and supplier management
Ensure VAT returns and other statutory submissions are accurate and on time
Business Partnering
Provide financial insight to sales, operations, and commercial teams to support decision-making
Partner with operations on job costing, project profitability, and margin analysis
Support the CFO on board reporting, investor updates, and fundraising materials
Help translate financial performance into a clear story for stakeholders
Financial Improvement
Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability
Develop, document, and optimise finance processes and controls
Work closely with commercial and operations teams to improve reporting and outcomes
Support the implementation of new systems, automation, and finance initiatives (e.g. accounting software and integrations)
Compliance & Governance
Ensure finances are managed in line with company policy and accounting standards
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Support year-end audit and liaison with external accountants and advisers
Work with internal teams to ensure compliance across the finance lifecycle
What you'll bring
Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Experience in a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, or Financial Controller role
Strong month-end, management accounts, and reporting experience
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
