Assistant Surveyor
A growing cost management consultancy is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Central London.
This role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across residential and commercial sectors, delivering high-quality cost management services to respected clients. Salary range £35k-£50k, depending on experience.
Project Details
In this quantity surveyor job, you will support the delivery of multiple high-value residential and commercial developments.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Preparing cost plans, budgets, and detailed estimates
- Assisting in procurement, tendering, and contract administration
- Managing valuations, variations, and progress reports
- Supporting pre- and post-contract cost management processes
- Liaising directly with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Assisting in risk management and value engineering reviews
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience in a cost consultancy or construction environment
- Experience on both commercial and residential projects preferred
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good understanding of procurement and contract procedures
- Motivated and professional attitude with ambition to progress
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or related field
- Working towards MRICS accreditation preferred
