As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Lunchtime Supervisor to join our close-knit team at Kestrel House School, part of Options Autism.

About the Role

We’re looking for a friendly, caring and proactive Lunchtime Supervisor to join our school community! Lunchtime is such an important part of the day — a time for our pupils to recharge, chat with friends, and enjoy a healthy meal. You’ll help make sure it’s a happy, safe and welcoming experience for everyone.

You’ll be part of a supportive team that looks after pupils in the dining hall and playground, encouraging good manners, positive behaviour and kindness. From helping younger children with their lunch to leading playtime activities, you’ll bring warmth, patience and energy to every day.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervising pupils during lunch and play, making sure everyone feels safe, included and respected.
  • Encouraging healthy eating, good table manners and friendly conversations.
  • Helping to keep the dining hall and surrounding areas clean, tidy and hygienic.
  • Supporting children who may need a bit of extra help or encouragement.
  • Administering minor first aid and reporting any incidents to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and staff to create a caring lunchtime environment.
  • Being a role model for positive behaviour and teamwork.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a real difference in their day. If you’re reliable, nurturing and have a great sense of fun — we’d love to hear from you!
