German-speaking Part-time Nanny, Job ID J1DF09

This lovely family based in Camden, London, is seeking a German-speaking Part-time Nanny to care for their baby, toddler, and school-aged child. The role involves all general nanny duties, including cooking simple, healthy meals for the children (such as steamed vegetables and meat or fish). The family follows a highly healthy diet with no sugar or processed foods; the only major allergy is to eggs. The nanny will also be required to spend Sundays with the children, ensuring the weekend is filled with engaging and enjoyable activities. While some activities will be pre-arranged, the nanny should also take the initiative in planning fun and stimulating experiences. A valid first-aid qualification is needed for this position.

Working hours: Every Sunday - 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. Total hours per week: 10 hours

Duties include:

• Setting up interactive, outdoor and educational activities (German immersion activities/games and exercises would always be appreciated to progress their German understanding and abilities).
• Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the children's structure and development.
• Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children.
• Reading and helping with homework as needed.
• Ensuring proper hygiene of the children such as bath time.
• Some days will be planned for them, and other days it would be nice if the nanny can plan days out.
• Mix of sole and shared care with the parents.
• The nanny may be asked to look after just 1, 2, or 3 of the children at any given time. If all 3, it would only likely be for a shorter period of time.
• Housekeeping is only related to the children if needed.
• Tidy up in the kitchen after cooking, and tidy up as they go.
• Food for the whole family is very specialised and healthy (no sugar, no processed foods, etc), but the egg is the only major official allergy. Cook basic meals for the children (usually steamed veg and meat/fish, generally speaking).
