Job Title: Behaviour Mentor Location: Havering, East London Salary Range: £95 - £112 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: September 2025 Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual with experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Remedy Education is currently recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to join a forward-thinking and inclusive school in the London Borough of Havering from September 2025 .

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

• Support students on a one-to-one or small group basis with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges.

• Help implement and monitor Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs).

• Foster a calm, nurturing learning environment that promotes emotional regulation and academic engagement.

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENCO, and wider pastoral team.

• Use restorative and trauma-informed approaches to manage behaviour effectively.

• Encourage personal growth, resilience, and a positive mindset in pupils.

• Previous experience working with SEMH or challenging behaviour is essential.

• Ability to build strong relationships and maintain boundaries with pupils.

• A calm, confident, and resilient approach to managing behaviour.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

• School-based or youth work experience is desirable.

• A supportive and inclusive school environment with excellent staff morale.
