Physical Commodities Financing Sales , Director

We are looking for an experienced individual to join Physical Commodity Financing team in London within Citi Global Markets to be responsible for originating physical and derivatives based commodities linked financing transactions (ownership structures, prepayments, liquidity swaps) across the energy commodities spectrum in EMEA.

Responsibilities:

• Deal identification, origination and execution of physical commodity financing transactions across commodities spectrum with corporate and sovereign clients in EMEA region
• Trusted advisor for the Commodities financing solutions provided to clients.
• Driving large transactions from inception to execution by partnering with all internal partners across the bank and the clients to deliver bespoke working capital solutions
• To grow the business through Citi’s existing client base as well as developing new relationships
• Work closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Trading, Structuring, Logistics and O&T in order to close deals
• Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
• Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics

Qualifications:

• This is not an entry level position. Proven experience in a similar position is required.
• Strong understanding of the market, players and the suite of commodity financing structures - ownership structures, prepayments, liquidity swaps
• Previous experience in client-facing roles with proven track record on growing and maintaining relationships with C-Suite
• Demonstrated deal track record with existing network of contacts.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with multiple functional groups in a cohesive manner.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work with broad group of stakeholders
• Willing to travel

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
