Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the specific needs of students in line with the school's curriculum.
- Evaluate and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and encouraged.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Stay up-to-date with subject developments, including new teaching methods and educational research.
- Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
Requirements
- A relevant degree in History or a related field, with a teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE) preferred.
- Proven experience as a History Teacher, with a track record of achieving excellent results.
- Strong knowledge and passion for the subject of History, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Familiarity with the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
