This is the jobJoin our growing Mobile App & Engagement product team to shape, deliver and optimise Mobile App features and propositions to the AA’s 3.3m breakdown customers.
nWe have multi-year investment to develop our core mobile app – and are looking for an experienced Product Owner to deliver brilliant engagement moments for our customers through the app (for example, push notifications, written and video content).
nThe mobile app is central to our Chief Digital Office strategy to drive more engagement from AA members, deepen their relationships with us and increase self-serve across our base. You will play a critical role in ensuring alignment between business stakeholders, whilst also providing digital best practice to ensure a market leading customer experience.
nPlease note, this position is a 6-month fixed term contract.
What will I be doing?- n
- Support the Senior Product Manager in developing priorities and backlog in line with business priorities, making trade-offs, and ensuring the delivery team understands the backlog of work. n
- Own the overall strategy for driving app engagement from AA customers: both increasing visits from existing app users and driving adoption from new customers n
- Drive forward creative ideas for new and relevant written and video content within the app, working closely with marketing to create n
- Capture and assess business/development requests, producing user stories and acceptance criteria with the help of the scrum team. n
- Keep a wide range of stakeholders engaged and informed of progress, including organising internal demos, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and refinement sessions. n
- Define KPIs and actively monitor the performance of your campaigns and ideas and tell the story using data n
- Work with the Sales & Marketing and Customer Success teams to understand customer responses to online journeys, including usability testing, onsite feedback, and competitor benchmarking. n

- Deep understanding of digital product management and the promotion/engagement of features, preferably with mobile apps. n
- Experience in successfully delivering changes to digital customer journeys, with a strong commercial awareness to identify opportunities and issues. n
- Ability to think creatively – with ideas of your own and working with other creative experts to think outside the box and try new ideas that will get customers attention about digital propositions n
- Ability to work under pressure and at pace, with a good understanding of digital tools and technologies. n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and knowledge of JIRA / Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Digital Analytics tools such as Google Analytics. n
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders and colleagues, displaying flexibility, leadership, and attention to detail. n
