Procurement Manager - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Please note this role is a 12 month fixed term contract. All the detailsWe’re looking for a commercially astute and forward-thinking Procurement Manager to join our Digital & Technology Procurement team. With a spend of approximately £400m across 300+ suppliers, this role is pivotal in shaping and delivering commercial value across our Digital & Technology (D&T) landscape.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across D&T, Finance, and Legal, acting as a trusted advisor and commercial strategist. From sourcing and negotiation to contract management and supplier innovation, you’ll play a key role in driving sustainable value and supporting M&S’s transformation journey.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What You’ll Do
- Act as a strategic commercial partner to the Digital & Technology teams.
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities, from sourcing strategy to contract award.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and Tier 1 technology suppliers.
- Deliver commercial value through negotiation, innovation, and market insight.
- Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business goals.
- Manage supplier relationships and contracts to maximise performance and mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with Finance to embed commercial benefits into budgets.
- Champion procurement governance and risk management across technology categories.
Who you are
- Demonstrable procurement experience, ideally in Digital, Technology, or SaaS.
- Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing complex sourcing projects and supplier relationships.
- Confident communicator with excellent networking and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and procurement systems.
- Experience drafting and managing robust commercial contracts.
