The role

The firm is seeking to hire an Employment Partner into their City office, close to Liverpool Street station, London.

  • The Employment department consists of a team of four, a Partner, two solicitors and a paralegal. The department deals with a big variety of work ranging from SME's, entrepreneurs, right the way up to large national companies and multinational companies that are coming to the UK to set up shop. You will also find there is a wide breadth of different industry sectors, the mix of work will make for an interesting caseload.
  • The employment department is busy, with an influx of new work coming in, as such they are keen to hire a new Employment Partner. You will work with the Head of Department to drive the department into the future. You will assist with everything from strategy, planning, business development, management, mentoring and development of the juniors. The current partner has an excellent reputation for family work and is ranked in the L500.
  • The department receives nearly all of their work from referrals, the department has an excellent reputation for delivering great service and value to their clients.
  • The team is friendly, professional with great team spirit, there is a nice social aspect too with quarterly events / dinners, designed to help bond and solidify the team further.
  • Your caseload will include both claimant and respondent, contentious and non-contentious. At the current time the work is quite evenly split. You will deal with a general employment caseload working closely with the corporate commercial department.
  • You should be an ambitious candidate that relishes in the challenge of building and developing a conveyancing department.
  • You will be an Employment Solicitor with at least 7 years PQE + (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
  • Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your background
