Senior Product Designer - Growth
About Paired
At Paired, we’re on a mission to help romantic couples stay in love. So we created a fun, safe space for couples to explore their relationship and grow together. Backed by expert advice and cutting-edge research, our app delivers engaging questions, games, and quizzes that improve key relationship skills in just minutes each day.
And it works. Our app is the #1 couples app globally with +12M downloads, +250,000 daily active users, and more than £5M of fundraising to date. We’ve won multiple awards from Apple and Google, recognising us for our innovative approach to romantic relationship health.
Although we are a remote-first team hiring in the UK, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Denmark and the Netherlands, keeping our employees connected remains extremely important. To bring everyone together, we meet three times a year at various European locations for focused co-working weeks and dynamic team-building activities.
About The Role
Paired is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Growth squad. In this pivotal role, you will own the end-to-end design process for features that accelerate subscription growth and improve our organic and paid acquisition. Your work will empower users to invite their friends, unlock deeper value with Paired Premium, and seamlessly convert into subscribers.
Reporting to the Head of Design and collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and fellow designers, you will define and execute design strategies that balance user delight with business impact.
What Your Role Encompasses
- Lead the end-to-end design process for innovative acquisition and monetisation strategies from concept to launch
- Partner with Product Managers and Researchers to uncover the biggest opportunities for new and existing users via research and analytics
- Design intuitive referral flows and viral features that encourage users to invite friends, boosting organic growth
- Optimize and innovate on the web-to-app funnel, ensuring seamless onboarding and subscription experiences across platforms
- Better connect users with the value of Paired Premium by experimenting with the Free / Premium split, plans, pricing, and discounts
- Balance creative, user-centered design with growth metrics, finding high-impact solutions that move key KPIs
- Develop rapid prototypes and conduct iterative design cycles to refine new concepts
- Deliver pixel-perfect, high-fidelity UI for mobile and web, aligned with Paired’s visual language and accessibility standards
- Communicate design rationale and efficiently steer explorations of multiple solutions to problems
- Support Paired's Design System by promoting and reviewing major changes, and introducing new solutions
- Drive outcomes for our users and Paired through design, focusing on impact rather than just visual output
- Mentor other designers by giving constructive feedback to influence and strengthen peers’ decision-making skills and quality of work
Requirements
- Extensive experience in product design for mobile applications and web with a focus on subscription-based products
- Professional background in supporting the growth and scaling phase of at least one Tech company, ideally within industries such as femtech, self-improvement, education, health & fitness, and related fields
- Strong portfolio showcasing case studies that demonstrate great product thinking, user experience, interaction, and visual design skills, a clear process and results
- Proven ability to work on very broadly defined, loose concepts, as well as narrowly defined, tactical features
- Deep knowledge of best practices for information architecture, navigation, UX, and UI and responsive design.
- Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional product teams, with the ability to quickly adapt and respond to change
- Proactive self-starter who brings original ideas and fresh approaches to design challenges
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (we use Figma predominantly) with a healthy interest in learning new tools
- Good understanding of Design Systems and A11Y, to ensure consistency, scalability, and inclusivity
- Ability to use data and user research to understand user needs, and gather insights to justify and support design decisions
- Must reside in one of the six countries we recruit from and have the legal right to work there (no visa sponsorship available; we hire in GB, ES, DE, IE, DK, NL)
- Must share a portfolio, see our hints below
What We Love to See in Your Portfolio
- Showcase Growth-centric work highlighting measurable business impact (subscription increases, viral growth, funnel conversion rates)
- Tell the story behind the design – include case studies with problem statements, your design process, and how your work drove results
- Demonstrate user-centric design thinking that aligns with growth goals – show how research and user insights shaped your decisions
- Highlight how you measured the success of your designs – include metrics and feedback that demonstrate how your solutions performed
- Show versatility with your visual skills – share examples of delightful, custom interfaces that break from conventional patterns to meet unique design challenges
- Well-structured, engaging portfolio presentation that makes your work easy to explore and understand
Benefits
- Yearly salary of £80K-£85K (UK) / €80K–€100K (country-dependent)
- Significant stock options
- 25 days annual leave (+public holidays)
- Fully remote with optional access to our London office or a subsidised co-working space
- Yearly learning budget of £1,000 / €1,150 / DKK 8,700
- Three annual in-person events across Europe: two focused coworking weeks and one team-building retreat
- 3 months paid maternity and 1 month paid paternity leave (same-sex and adoptive parents included) - with local enhancements where applicable
- Comprehensive health insurance
- Opportunity to help millions of people with their relationships
Hiring process
- Application review
- Initial Call with Riccardo (Head of Design)
- Task Assignment - Complete a task at home which you will present to our team

- We strive to create an inclusive environment where unique perspectives are encouraged, as we firmly believe that diversity enhances our company, culture and product
